Job Summary
The Store Designer is responsible for creating engaging and functional retail environments that express the brand's identity and enhance the customer experience within cosmetic and beauty retail spaces. This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver store concepts that balance creativity, consistency, and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design store concepts, layouts, and customer flow plans aligned with brand guidelines and beauty retail standards
- Develop design deliverables including floor plans, elevations, material selections, and 3D visuals for new stores, remodels, and pop‑ups
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Retail, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, and Construction teams to ensure cohesive execution
- Adapt global design concepts to suit local market requirements and store formats
- Coordinate with external vendors including architects, contractors, fixture suppliers, and fabrication partners
- Review and approve shop drawings, samples, and mock‑ups to ensure design quality and consistency
- Conduct site visits during construction and post‑opening to ensure design intent is delivered
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and budget targets
- Stay informed on beauty, lifestyle, and retail design trends to continuously evolve store environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- 3-7 years of experience in retail or commercial interior design; experience in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands preferred
- Solid understanding of customer experience design and visual storytelling within retail spaces
- Hands‑on experience with store rollout or multi‑location projects
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Revit
- Strong aesthetic sensibility with attention to materials, lighting, and finishes
- Clear communication and presentation skills
- Strong project coordination and time‑management abilities
- Ability to balance brand consistency with local market needs
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with global brand guidelines
- Exposure to cosmetic counters, freestanding stores, or department‑store shop‑in‑shops
- Understanding of Visual Merchandising principles
