Role Description
Gabriel Scott is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Studio Assistant for a full-time, on-site position in London.
The Studio Assistant will play a hands-on role in supporting both the operational and technical aspects of the studio. This includes assisting with the assembly of lighting fixtures, contributing to the development and refinement of components, and supporting the build of bespoke and custom pieces.
The role will involve problem-solving across design and production challenges, working closely with the team on fixture design, parts specification, and continuous improvement of existing products. The candidate will also assist in the development of new prototypes, ensuring that ideas are translated into well-executed, production-ready outcomes.
In addition to technical responsibilities, the Studio Assistant will help maintain an organised and efficient workspace, manage materials and components, and support the smooth day-to-day running of the studio.
This position is suited to someone who is highly methodical, technically curious, and comfortable working with both their hands and design tools. A strong attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential, as the role contributes directly to the quality and integrity of Gabriel Scott’s products.
