General Summary & Scope
The Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. They deliver quality services focused on the guest’s total look, supporting the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager through performance, guest service, and process adherence. A passion for the beauty industry and exceptional guest service are essential.
Principal
Duties & Responsibilities
Performance
Perform various hair and makeup services, including styling, coloring, treatments, and ear piercing where applicable.
Achieve or surpass a weekly sales goal of $800 and meet productivity targets.
Demonstrate business understanding and identify growth opportunities.
Conduct product demonstrations to enhance sales and guest experience.
Support in-store events and marketing initiatives.
Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services.
Maintain consistent attendance.
People
Build guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
Provide high standards of customer service and uphold salon image.
Serve all guests efficiently, including walk-ins.
Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams for a comprehensive guest experience.
Develop professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
Promote the guest loyalty program and app.
Attend training and meetings for professional growth.
Process
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards.
Adhere to safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols.
Follow established service protocols for consistency.
Use booking and client management systems effectively.
Communicate supply needs timely.
Maintain store cleanliness and adhere to dress code.
Follow loss prevention practices.
Perform operational tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Cosmetology license required.
Experience
Previous salon experience preferred.
Skills
Proficiency in latest salon techniques and product knowledge.
Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to build and maintain a client base.
Position Requirements
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions
Frequent movement and standing for long periods.
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
Physical ability to perform duties involving bending, stooping, and reaching.
