Fashion Stylist / Receptionist – Customer Experience & Styling
Location: On-Site at 6116 Mulford Village Dr Ste 15, Rockford, IL 61107
Compensation: $16–$18/hour + commission on sales
Employment Type: Part-Time (with potential to grow into Full-Time)

Tad More Tailoring is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Fashion Stylist / Receptionist to join our growing team. This customer-facing role is ideal for someone with great people skills, a sharp eye for style, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, values-driven environment.

Objectives
- Create a warm, welcoming experience for every client who walks through our doors or visits us online
- Manage the front desk: answer phone calls, schedule appointments, respond to emails, and collect payments
- Conduct fitting appointments: pin garments, advise clients, and ensure garments are clearly labeled and documented for tailoring
- Offer style guidance and help customers understand how tailoring can elevate their look
- Receive and prepare garments for online orders, documenting the process through photos and CRM updates
- Maintain a clean, stylish, and organized work area that reflects our brand
- Collaborate with our tailoring team to deliver excellent customer outcomes
- Help us build strong, lasting customer relationships through personal attention and professional communication
Key Competencies
- Strong customer service skills with a warm and engaging demeanor
- Excellent attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Proficient in using digital tools: HubSpot, Asana, Zoom, and email
- A team-player mindset with a passion for sustainability and personal style
- Consistently well-dressed and styled, presenting a fashionable and professional appearance that aligns with our brand image
Education and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service (retail, hospitality, office, etc.)
- Fashion, retail, or styling experience preferred but not required
- Familiarity with fitting techniques, tailoring terms, and sewing basics is a plus

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods during fittings and customer interactions
- Ability to get up and down off the floor multiple times per day and quickly (as needed during fittings)
- Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs (packages, fabric rolls, garment bags)
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and move throughout the day in a fast-paced environment
