Overview
The Salon Manager oversees all salon operations, providing leadership and tools for staff to grow their clientele and business. They deliver high-quality hair care services, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain salon profitability. The role includes providing consultations, performing services, and creating a welcoming environment, fostering a positive guest experience every visit.
Minimum Qualifications
Current cosmetology or barber license and manager license as required by state/provincial regulations
Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Exceptional guest service skills, including understanding needs, consultations, and professional service delivery
Administrative skills for scheduling, transactions, and light housekeeping
Guest issue resolution skills
Leadership abilities to develop and guide a team, create a positive work environment, and resolve staff issues
Physical Requirements
Standing for extended periods
Lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally
Repetitive movements with hands, fingers, wrists, and arms
Reaching above shoulder level
Exposure to chemicals and fragrances
Close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment
Effective communication with guests
Occasional travel for meetings, including overnight stays
