Job Duties
Market and grow the business
Observe other stylists/managers at work and ask relevant questions
Provide exceptional customer service
Control expenses
Promote and sell services and retail products
Answer telephones, stock and dust shelves, and sweep hair
Complete all other duties as assigned by manager
The stylist-in-training position is temporary for 90 days, designed to integrate an unlicensed, future stylist into the salon workplace and help them learn the business. They are responsible for delivering excellent customer service and communicating effectively with management, customers, and co-workers. Eligibility for promotion to a stylist depends on obtaining the necessary license, demonstrating the ability to perform licensed duties, and practicing Regis values of honesty, accountability, integrity, and respect.
Qualifications
Must graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain the necessary license(s) within or before 90 days of hire
Ability to work in a dynamic salon environment
Good time management, judgment, and multi-tasking skills
Strong interpersonal skills for professional communication
Computer skills including POS systems and data entry
Flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Essential Functions
Market and Grow the Business
Promote and sell services/products, recommend additional services, and contribute to customer satisfaction
Understand and convey pricing information
Coordinate promotional displays using Shop Talk
Drive sales to walk-in retail customers
Provide Exceptional Customer Service
Greet customers professionally, understand their needs, and escort them through the salon
Estimate wait times and handle appointment scheduling
Answer phones professionally and handle complaints appropriately
Manage and Control Expenses
Follow salon schedules and charge accurately for services and products
Safeguard assets by adhering to policies
Complete Administrative Tasks/Compliance
Assist with salon operations, communicate professionally, maintain safety standards, and attend mandatory meetings
Handle POS transactions and other duties as assigned

Continuous standing and reaching
