Hair Stylist
Job Summary:
The Hair Stylist is responsible for providing exceptional hair care services to our customers. This position will be responsible for providing product knowledge and product application, styling recommendations, and any other duties as necessary. The Hair Stylist will be expected to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, and follow all safety guidelines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide product knowledge and product application services to our customers
Provide salon and retail styling advice to our customers
Recommend products based on the needs of the customer
Perform hand-on-hair care such as trimming, cutting, and coloring
Cleaning and sanitizing work stations and tools using commercial cleaning products and procedures
Greet customers in a friendly manner while maintaining a professional atmosphere
Check customers out at the end of each visit, take their contact information, and enter it into our computer system so that we can follow up with them next time they come in
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current trends in hair care products and styling techniques
Perform other duties as assigned by management to keep the salon running smoothly
Experience:
·At least 2 years of experience as a Hair Stylist or Colorist (Color is not required but will be considered a plus)
· At least 1 year of experience working in a Color or Cut Bar or Salon
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.50 – $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
