What will you do?
As a Management Trainee, your role revolves around the Demand Planning and New Production Development (NPD) functions of the Supply Chain Department. More specifically, your roles and responsibilities are enumerated below:
- Demand Planning and Forecast Management: Lead demand forecasting and forecast management activities by analyzing historical sales trends, market demand, seasonality, and inventory levels to support accurate inventory replenishment and supply planning decisions.
- Purchase Planning and Inventory Management: Support the creation and monitoring of purchase plans to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts. Coordinate closely with suppliers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders to align with forecasted demand and business requirements.
- Principal and Sourcing Coordination: Lead strategic and operational coordination with brand principals, OEMs, and suppliers for demand planning, procurement, and NPD activities. Support sourcing initiatives, vendor evaluation, and negotiations on pricing, lead times, MOQs, and contract terms to ensure cost-efficient and reliable supply operations, including sourcing through platforms such as Alibaba.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage projects which include collaboration with a cross-functional team, coordination with external parties and monitoring project deadlines and budget to ensure timely and cost-efficient implementation.
- Process Optimization: Document current process workflows and identify areas for improvement related to inbound and outbound logistics, order processing, returns handling, disposal of damaged and obsolete inventory, and other related areas to minimize costs and optimize productivity.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to carry out continuous improvement initiatives of the operations related to Warehousing and Order Fulfillment to drive operational excellence and adapt to changing business requirements.
- Data Analysis: Monitoring key performance metrics and providing relevant analytical reports related to inventory management such as demand planning, safety stock optimization and inventory replenishment
Who are we looking for?
- Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods company is an advantage.
- Willing to learn and grow as a professional in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power point), Macros is a plus.
- Must have excellent English communication skills.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
