About the role:

Support the Demand and Supply Planning function in the effective execution of planning processes across South Africa, Mozambique and Zambia to ensure product availability at the correct stock locations whilst minimizing supply chain disruptions and inventory-related costs.

Support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process through accurate planning execution, reporting, analysis and cross-functional coordination across Demand, Material, Production and Distribution Planning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate demand plans through forecast updates, trend analysis and monitoring demand changes and risks.
  2. Coordinate material planning activities to ensure raw and packaging materials availability.
  3. Support production planning activities by monitoring supply constraints and inventory requirements.
  4. Monitor finished stock positioning to ensure stock availability at the correct facilities.
  5. Prepare planning reports, KPI tracking and analysis for Demand and Supply Review meetings.
  6. Identify and communicate supply risks, stock shortages, excess inventory and service risks.
  7. Maintain effective working relationships and information flow between Planning and internal stakeholders.
  8. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the planning and supply chain processes to improve efficiency, visibility and service levels.

  • Customer Service Levels
  • Accurate and timely reporting for planning reviews and effective participation in S&OP process.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of Demand and Supply Planning principles and processes
  • Knowledge of forecasting, material planning, production planning and inventory management.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across different markets and stakeholders

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant planning experience
  • Experience in FMCG, Fashion, Manufacturing or similar environments
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders

Qualification:

  • Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Commerce, or related field.
  • APICS / CPIM certification advantageous.
