Full Job Description

– Perform alterations and repairs on garments, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and replacing buttons or zippers.
– Use sewing machines, sergers, and other tools to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
– Follow customer instructions and measurements to ensure proper fit and desired outcome.
– Provide excellent customer service by listening to customer needs and offering suggestions or recommendations.
– Assist customers with selecting appropriate fabrics, styles, or designs for their garments.
– Maintain a clean and organized work area.

– Proven experience as a tailor or seamstress in a fashion retail setting.
– Proficient in using sewing machines and other tailoring tools.
– Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and alterations.
– Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements.
– Basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements.
– Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
– Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
