We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a strong background in garment construction, ensuring that each piece is tailored to perfection. This role involves working closely with customers to understand their needs and deliver high-quality alterations and custom garments.
Responsibilities
- Perform alterations on various types of clothing, including dresses, suits, and casual wear, ensuring a perfect fit for each customer.
- Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute precise alterations and repairs.
- Collaborate with customers to assess their tailoring needs, providing expert advice on style and fit.
- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available for efficient workflow.
- Conduct fittings with clients to ensure satisfaction with the alterations made.
- Keep track of orders and manage timelines effectively to meet customer expectations.
Skills
- Proven experience in fashion retail or tailoring, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients.
- Proficiency in using sewing machines and understanding garment construction techniques.
- Strong sewing skills, including the ability to perform various stitches and finishes.
