Duties
- Perform garment repairs, alterations, and custom tailoring to meet client specifications with accuracy and attention to detail
- Operate sewing machines efficiently, ensuring high-quality stitching and finishing on various fabrics and clothing items
- Measure clients accurately using basic math skills to determine proper fit and sizing adjustments
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, offering friendly advice and exceptional customer service throughout the process
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure all sewing equipment is properly maintained and functioning
- Assist in managing garment inventory and tracking completed work for timely delivery
Experience
- Prior experience in fashion retail or tailoring is highly preferred; strong sewing skills are essential
- Proficiency with sewing machines and garment construction techniques
- Knowledge of sewing patterns, fabric types, and garment fitting principles
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Familiarity with garment repair processes and alterations procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work in a timely manner
Pay: $400.00 – $700.00 per month
