Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and garment construction, with the ability to create high-quality clothing and alterations. This role requires proficiency in sewing techniques, as well as a strong understanding of fabric types and garment construction. The Seamstress will work closely with customers to ensure their specific needs are met, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
Duties
Operate sewing machines and other equipment to construct garments according to specifications.
Perform alterations and repairs on various types of clothing, ensuring a perfect fit for customers.
Utilize basic math skills to measure, cut, and sew fabric accurately.
Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available and in good condition.
Stay updated on fashion trends and techniques in garment construction to enhance skills and service offerings.
Requirements
Proven experience in sewing, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
Familiarity with various sewing machines and tools used in garment construction.
Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Previous experience in fashion retail is a plus, providing insight into customer preferences and trends.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
