Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress or Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for garment construction and a keen eye for detail. This role involves working with various fabrics and materials to create high-quality garments while ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service.
Duties
- Construct and alter garments according to specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Operate sewing machines and other equipment effectively to produce garments.
- Collaborate with the clients to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and preferences.
- Perform fittings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
- Keep up-to-date with fashion trends and techniques in garment construction.
Skills
- Proficient in garment construction techniques, including sewing, cutting, and fitting.
- Experience operating various types of sewing machines.
- Knowledge of fashion retail practices is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and fabric estimation.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
