Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
– Perform garment alterations and repairs according to customer specifications
– Use sewing machines, sergers, and other tools to complete sewing tasks
– Measure and mark garments for alterations
– Sew hems, seams, buttons, and other fasteners
-Sew patches on coats and shirts
– Fit garments on customers and make adjustments as needed
– Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
– Proficient in garment construction techniques
– Experience operating sewing machines and other sewing tools
– Strong sewing skills with attention to detail
– Knowledge of different fabrics and their properties
– Familiarity with fashion retail industry trends and styles
– Excellent customer service skills
– Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
