We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for garment construction and a keen eye for detail. As a Seamstress, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality garments that meet our customers’ specifications and expectations. Your expertise in sewing and garment construction will contribute to the overall success of our fashion retail operations.
Duties
Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to construct, alter, and repair garments according to design specifications.
Interpret patterns and technical drawings to ensure accurate garment assembly.
Perform fittings and alterations based on customer requests, ensuring the final product meets their needs.
Maintain sewing equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries regarding alterations or customizations.
Skills
Proficient in sewing techniques with experience in garment construction.
Strong understanding of basic math skills for measurements and adjustments.
Familiarity with various types of sewing machines and their maintenance.
Previous experience in fashion retail is a plus, enhancing your understanding of customer preferences.
Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients regarding their needs and preferences.
