Description:
This position is responsible for providing supervision to individuals, along with the processes, in the assigned department.
Duties in this position include the following:
Responsible for the performance of department employees
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, peers, and upper management
Training and development of assigned staff
Must be capable of effectively prioritizing work load
Maintain the work area in a clean, organized, and safe condition
Assure that staff maintains a work pace consistent with standards
Assist in enforcing company policies and procedures
Inventory control
Ability to write performance evaluations
Recommendations concerning methods of improving department performance and processes;
Maintain a flexible schedule
All other duties as assigned by Manager-in-charge
Requirements:
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely utilize various tools in order to process merchandise
Ability to push full boxes (up to 75 pounds) on gravity conveyors
Ability to safely walk under trolley rail
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Other Requirements:
Basic math skills
Capable of thinking independently
Capable of performing under stress
Ability to use hand held scanner
Prior supervisory experience
Computer literate
Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language.
