About The RoleReporting to the Manager of Technical Design, the Technical Design Coordinator will assist the TD team in managing all technical design aspects of the brand from conception to production delivery. This role is responsible for assisting the day-to-day functions of the Technical Design Department and requires a strong level of interpersonal communication, problem solving and process management skills. This person should thrive in a fast paced and multi-faceted environment.
Responsibilities…Job Description
Responsible for fit preparation, inclusive of sample and package tracking.
Measuring garments and logging in measurements directly in PLM, understanding garment construction and evaluating them against TP requirements, steaming/pressing garments and organizing fit racks for fittings and presentations.
Set up fit room and VC equipment for weekly fittings and milestone meetings.
Attend and facilitate live fittings, inclusive of maintaining fit rack, taking fit notes and detailed fit images.
Set up and maintain very organized fit related folders on SharePoint.
Set up fit evaluations for TD team and execute fit comments with supervision.
Create and maintain seasonal fit tracking charts.
Support the maintenance of SPANX fit and block libraries.
Track, collect and process sample packages daily.
Regular organization of fit racks and pattern libraries.
Daily communication and interaction with internal and external partners
Pack, label and ship outgoing packages.
Additional responsibilities may include scheduling fit models, model go -sees, create HTM images to support POM database.
Qualifications
We require…
Bachelor’s degree in design with an emphasis or interest in technical design
1-2 yrs. work experience in Apparel Technical Design or Product Development
Proficiency in:
Microsoft office: Teams, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Adobe: Photoshop and Illustrator
PLM knowledge is a plus.
