Full Job Description
Title: Technical Designer
Location New York, NY- Hybrid Schedule
Young Contemporary – Woven Tops, Pants, Dresses, and Knits
Well established fashion company is seeking a Technical Designer with minimum 1 year of experience with Woven tops, Dress’s, and Pants. Knowledge of Patterns and grading is a plus. This opportunity offers room to grow in an environment with work life balance.
Responsibilities:
Submit detailed sketches along with tech packs including measurements and size grading.
Collaborate with design team assisting with initial spec.
Update Technical Packages to be sent to in house factories and overseas vendors including construction sketch, construction description, and garment proposed specs.
Follow up fit samples for construction and measurement accuracy.
Communicate with overseas factory.
Evaluate each garment spec measurements, yarns, stitches and construction detail.
Review with vendors on grading and/or construction corrections that are required.
· College degree or equivalent work experience
· Proficient in PLM, is a plus, Microsoft Excel
· Knowledge of Patterns, Grading and Garment construction
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
