Our team works closely across Design, Production, and Merchandising to develop high-quality products from concept to production. AV Denim is seeking an experienced Technical Designer to join our Production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for garment fitting, technical specifications, sample evaluation, and supporting product development from concept through production.
Role Description:
- Review and approve measurement specifications (Specs) and graded specifications.
- Conduct garment fittings and provide detailed fit comments and technical corrections.
- Evaluate prototypes, fit samples, PP samples, and TOP samples to ensure proper fit, construction, and quality.
- Work closely with Design, Production, and overseas factories to resolve fit, pattern, and construction issues.
- Monitor sample development and production follow-up to ensure products meet company standards.
- Ensure consistency in fit, measurements, grading, and garment construction across all product categories.
- Communicate technical comments and sample revisions clearly with internal teams and overseas vendors.
- Manage multiple development projects while meeting deadlines.
- Support the product development process for denim, Missy Tops, Junior Tops, and Kids’ apparel, including woven, knit, outerwear, and sweaters.
Qualifications
- Experience in apparel product development and technical design.
- Strong knowledge of garment fitting, grading, measurement specifications, and fit evaluation.
- Experience with denim, Missy Tops, Junior Tops, and Kids’ apparel.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage fittings, technical comments, and production follow-up.
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $75,000–$85,000 per year
