Missy/Junior casual knit company, in the Commerce area, is looking for energetic team player to help in the design and costing process to create detailed tech packs, production and presentation CADs, and costing packs. Our focus as a company is on product development with an expertise in screen printing and garment washes.
We are looking for a well-rounded individual for our casual knit division to fill our Technical Design/ Assistant Design position. This role is a hybrid between design and technical design. The candidate must be able to handle a variety of design and preproduction functions, such as creating detailed technical flats, creating tech packs, communicating with overseas vendors for product development and create buyer presentation CADs. Our ideal candidate should be highly proficient with Illustrator and Photoshop, very organized, and detail orientated. This candidate should also be comfortable with measuring garments, pattern making, communicating fit comments, & garment construction.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Technical design experience.
· Proficient in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/Microsoft Excel.
· Patternmaking, garment construction, and sewing knowledge required.
· Detailed understanding of fabrications, screen printing, and garment wash processes.
· Excellent communication with overseas vendors.
· Garment fitting and fit comments.
· Excellent follow up.
· Organization skills and effective time management.
· Attention to details and strong problem-solving skills.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $68,000.00 per year
