Tharanco Group Inc. has been in the Apparel Business since 1988. Tharanco has several operating divisions with offices in NYC (NY), Secaucus (NJ), Canton (MA) and 11 Retail Stores (FL & SC). Tharanco designs, sources and sells Mens (Golf Apparel, Dress Shirts, Active/Outdoor Apparel) and Womens (Dresses, Sweater & Knit Tops) apparel to major retailers and boutiques/pro-shops in the US and through its own Direct to Consumer channels (Ecommerce & Retail Stores). What we’re looking foris someone to join our Technical Design team with GNC/ Dunning Women’s Division. The ideal candidate will have experience in Women’s Apparel Technical Design focusing on sports/ activewear and knit/woven tops.

Requirements
Extensive knowledge of garment construction; background pattern making is preferred; proven expertise in apparel draping and fitting.
Working knowledge of PLM, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Strong project management and multi-tasking skills with critical attention to details.
Confident, engaging verbal and written communication skills.
Motivated to work in a high-energy environment at the speed of fashion with ever-changing priorities.
Ability to work independently and to meet multiple deadlines.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with other departments as well as vendors and other overseas offices.
Fluent in English.
Education and Experience:
Five or more years of Technical Design and/or Patternmaking experience
Fitting on a LIVE FIT MODEL required
Experience and knowledge in women’s sports/ activewear (Knit and Woven) required
A college degree, or equivalent professional work experience, is required.
