About the Job
Responsibilities:
* Develop and create original textile designs for various products, considering factors such as colour, pattern, texture, and material.
* Collaborate closely with the design team and other departments to translate conceptual ideas into viable designs that meet brand standards and customer requirements.
* Create sketches, patterns, and prototypes using computer-aided design (CAD) software or traditional hand-drawing methods.
* Select appropriate materials and techniques for manufacturing, considering production feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
* Work in tandem with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the accurate execution of designs during production.
* Evaluate samples and make necessary revisions or improvements to meet quality standards.
* Keep meticulous records of design developments, specifications, and samples.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
* Proven experience as a Textile Designer or a similar role in the fashion/textile industry.
* Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, CAD, or other relevant design tools.
* Strong artistic and creative skills with an eye for color, pattern, and texture.
* Excellent knowledge of different fabrics, printing methods, and textile production processes.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
* Strong communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and work collaboratively.
