Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Students must be currently enrolled at FIT part-time or full-time to be classified as a student worker.
Undergraduate students, at time of application, must hold a GPA of 3.3 GPA in subject area and cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher, and maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits while working.
All tutors must have received at minimum an A- in order to tutor for a specific course or must have a written recommendation from an instructor. In order to tutor a foreign language, a prospective tutor must be approved by an instructor from the Foreign Language department. Potential math tutors may also be sent to the Science and Math department for approval. All prospective tutors must fill out a tutor application from the Academic Skills Center and hand in a copy of a resume, transcripts and any degree they may have earned. All tutors are hired on a part-time temporary basis, and weekly hours are based on tutorial needs.

Salary: $18.00 per hour
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday; shifts may vary; work schedule subject to change based on needs of the department.
Hours of Employment
Student employment is limited to 20 hours per week while school is in session. Students may be permitted to work more than 20 hours (up to 29 hours per week) during official breaks.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The working conditions for this position will be on campus primarily in an office environment, lab, or classrooms. The physical requirement for this position will require constant sitting and standing, occasional bending, frequent walking, and occasional lifting 10 lbs. or less.
