Position Overview
We are looking for a Vice President of Product Development with extensive experience in luxury jewelry product development, global manufacturing coordination, and high-end product lifecycle management.
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Product Development to lead and oversee Mythic Jewelry’s global product development strategy. This role is responsible for managing the full product development process, from concept creation and design coordination to sourcing, production planning, and product launch execution.
The VP of Product Development will work closely with leadership teams across design, production, sourcing, operations, and brand management to ensure innovation, quality, and operational excellence across all product categories.
Key Responsibilities
Global Product Development
Lead and execute the company’s global product development strategy
Oversee the development of fine jewelry collections and special projects
Manage product lifecycle processes from concept to final production
Ensure alignment between creative vision, craftsmanship, and commercial objectives
Product Innovation & Manufacturing Coordination
Collaborate closely with design and production teams to bring collections to market
Oversee sourcing, materials selection, and product specifications
Improve development timelines, manufacturing efficiency, and product quality
Ensure consistency in craftsmanship and luxury product standards
Cross-functional Leadership
Work closely with design, operations, sourcing, and merchandising teams
Support global product launches and international expansion initiatives
Coordinate with external manufacturing and supplier partners
Drive collaboration across international teams and business units
Operational & Process Optimization
Develop scalable product development systems and workflows
Improve communication between development, sourcing, and production teams
Implement reporting structures and product tracking systems
Support digital transformation and operational efficiency initiatives
Strategic Planning
Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and luxury jewelry innovation
Contribute to long-term product and brand growth strategy
Identify opportunities for new collections and category expansion
Provide leadership with product performance insights and recommendations
Requirements
15-25 years of experience in product development, jewelry manufacturing, or luxury product management
Strong background in fine jewelry, luxury goods, fashion accessories, or premium consumer products
Extensive experience managing global product development and manufacturing operations
Deep understanding of jewelry craftsmanship, sourcing, and production processes
Experience working with international suppliers, manufacturers, and production partners
Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to manage complex international product development environments
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
Preferred Experience
Executive-level experience in jewelry product development or manufacturing leadership
Experience with luxury jewelry collections and international product launches
Background working with global jewelry brands or luxury manufacturing groups
Experience scaling product operations across multiple international markets
