Role Overview
We are looking for a creative Video Editor to produce high‑impact content for YouTube (long‑form) and Instagram/TikTok Reels (short‑form). You will transform raw footage into cinematic, on‑brand videos that educate, entertain, and convert luxury shoppers.
Key Responsibilities
* Edit long‑form videos for YouTube (5–15 minutes): lookbooks, designer interviews, styling sessions, haul reviews.
* Cut short‑form vertical Reels (15–60 seconds) for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, optimised for retention and engagement.
* Add motion graphics, text overlays, transitions, sound design, and colour grading to match luxury aesthetics.
* Manage and organise raw footage, audio, and assets.
* Collaborate with the content writer to align video scripts with brand messaging.
* Monitor video performance metrics (watch time, retention, shares) and iterate formats.
Requirements (Must Have)
* 3+ years of video editing experience, with a portfolio showcasing fashion, beauty, or lifestyle content.
* Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.
* Strong understanding of YouTube and Instagram Reels best practices (hooks, pacing, captions, music).
* Ability to colour grade and mix audio for professional quality.
* Knowledge of export settings for different platforms (4K YouTube, vertical Reels).
* Excellent time management and ability to turn around edits quickly for trends.
Nice to have (Strongly Preferred)
* Experience filming (Sony, Canon, or smartphone cinematography).
* Basic motion graphics (lower thirds, animated logos).
* Understanding of YouTube SEO (thumbnails, titles, descriptions).
* Familiarity with luxury fashion video aesthetics (e.g., Vogue, Net‑a‑Porter).
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
* Produce and publish 6 YouTube videos (average >5 min watch time) and 20 Reels.
* Grow YouTube channel to 5,000+ organic views per video and Reels to 50k+ average reach.
* Achieve >40% average retention on YouTube and >15% engagement rate on Reels.
* Establish a repeatable post‑production workflow and asset library.
