DescriptionAbout the roleWe are looking for a motivated Visual Merchandising Intern to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in visual merchandising while also developing analytical, project management and organizational skills.
This is a hybrid role with a flexible work arrangement out of our Vienna, VA office.
You will
Evaluate vendor fixtures using existing office data ensuring fixture capacity is optimized and planogram amounts are aligned to the capacities
Assist in creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets for tracking various visual merchandising metrics such as inventory levels and planogram compliance.
Regularly update planogram tracking sheets with information on product placement and performance.
Monitor inventory levels and stock movement to determine optimal quantities for planogram display, ensuring that planogram capacity is maintained while minimizing out-of-stocks and overstocks.
About You
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business Analytics, Merchandising, Retail Management, Supply Chain/Operations Management or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications for data analysis and reporting.
Passion for retail, consumer trends, and merchandising strategies.
Capacity to adjust direction when needed and willingness to learn new skills.
Previous internship or work experience in optical, retail, merchandising, or planning is a plus.
