Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership
- Direct and manage global, regional, and domestic manufacturing partners across the full production lifecycle—from raw material sourcing (cotton, trims, hardware) to finished goods delivery.
- Ensure adherence to production calendars, on-time delivery, and cost targets.
- Build and maintain strategic vendor partnerships to support scalability and agility.
2. Technical Denim Expertise
- Provide deep expertise in denim construction, fit, and performance.
- Oversee advanced washing techniques, including wet and dry processes, laser finishing, and sustainable fabric treatments.
- Guide innovation in indigo dyeing, fabric development, and finishing technologies.
3. Supply Chain & Sourcing Strategy
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies, including vendor matrix optimization and geographic diversification.
- Lead cost negotiations to improve gross margins while maintaining product integrity.
- Drive continuous improvement in lead times, capacity planning, and risk mitigation.
4. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Establish and enforce quality control standards, including AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) protocols.
- Ensure product consistency in fit, durability, and colorfastness.
- Partner with QA teams and vendors to resolve production and quality issues proactively.
5. Sustainability & Regulatory Compliance
- Champion sustainable manufacturing practices, including water reduction, chemical management, and waste minimization.
- Ensure compliance with global environmental standards (e.g., ZDHC Wastewater Guidelines, OEKO-TEX) and chemical safety, limiting water usage.
- Lead initiatives to reduce environmental impact across the denim production lifecycle.
6. Systems & Process Optimization
- Oversee utilization of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems to manage production workflows, track milestones, and ensure data accuracy.
- Implement process improvements and digital solutions to enhance operational visibility and efficiency.
7. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing production, sourcing, and technical teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner cross-functionally with design, merchandising, and finance teams to align business objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in Fashion Merchandising, Manufacturing technology, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with a track record of improving margins.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, and dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in PLM systems and production tracking tools.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Pay: Starting $90,000 per year plus bonus incentives with KPI goals.
