VP, Merchandising & Planning
We are seeking an experienced merchandising and planning leader to help shape product strategy and support continued growth across a multi-channel retail business. This role will partner closely with leadership, design, product development, marketing, and sales to build thoughtful assortments, manage seasonal calendars, and drive profitable growth.
The ideal candidate brings strong commercial instincts, financial acumen, and experience balancing customer needs with brand strategy across direct-to-consumer, wholesale, and retail channels.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end merchandise and assortment planning across product categories and channels.
- Develop seasonal calendars and align cross-functional teams around key milestones from concept through launch.
- Establish pricing strategies that support margin goals, competitive positioning, and brand value.
- Own merchandise financial planning, including sales forecasting, margin analysis, open-to-buy, inventory productivity, and in-season performance.
- Partner with design and product development to align product briefs, costs, timing, and go-to-market plans.
- Use business performance and sell-through data to adjust assortment, allocation, and pricing as needed.
- Represent the merchandising perspective in executive planning and help implement the tools, systems, and processes needed to scale the business.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive merchandising and planning experience within a premium retail or consumer brand.
- Experience working across DTC, wholesale, and retail channels is strongly preferred.
- Candidates should have hands-on experience with forecasting, margin analysis, inventory planning, and assortment strategy, along with strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
- A background in apparel, activewear, home, lifestyle, or a related category is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
