The Opportunity
Our client is a globally recognised retail brand with an iconic store presence across key markets in Southeast Asia. As the business enters an exciting phase of retail transformation, they are seeking an inspirational Regional VP Retail Excellence to lead their SEA retail network and drive organisational growth. Together with the regional leadership organisation, you will define and execute a world-class retail excellence framework — elevating store experience, embedding omnichannel capabilities, and positioning the brand’s stores as the most inspiring destinations across the region.
The Role
- Own the end-to-end retail excellence agenda across the SEA region, with accountability for driving retail productivity, customer experience standards, and commercial performance.
- Working closely with Merchandising, Marketing, and Technology teams, you will define the Retail Excellence framework and execute initiatives that elevate in-store experience through exceptional client service, expert product knowledge, and seamless omnichannel integration. This includes driving sales productivity per store and per sqm, optimising conversion rates and basket values, embedding client-driven sales strategies, and ensuring click & collect and digital engagement services are embedded into store operations.
- A critical focus will be building and inspiring a high-performance retail leadership team both regionally and locally. You will drive store manager capability development, talent retention, performance management, and advisor productivity and expertise.
- Oversee Visual Merchandising strategy and store image execution, while ensuring brand storytelling and product discovery are visually compelling and drive commercial impact.
- Champion the deployment and adoption of retail technology solutions from client management tools to omnichannel capabilities, partnering closely with Technology teams to enable innovation.
The Ideal Candidate
You bring over 15 years of retail leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading large store networks across multiple complex Asia markets. Ideally, you have spent time in premium specialty retail and understand how to marry exceptional customer experience with commercial discipline. You are an inspirational field leader with strong commercial acumen and a genuine passion for brand storytelling and customer-centric retail. You thrive in regional environments, are comfortable operating with ambiguity, and can shift fluently between strategic planning and hands-on field execution. Above all, you build high-energy retail cultures that attract and retain top talent.
