Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Procurement Manager to lead and optimize all purchasing activities for our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, overseeing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely, cost-effective acquisition of all warehouse equipment, consumables, MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) items, and services. The ideal candidate will drive cost savings, improve supply reliability, and align procurement with warehouse performance goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for warehouse-specific categories including material handling equipment (forklifts, racking, packaging materials (bags, boxes, pallets, stretch film, tape), PPE, cleaning supplies, and MRO parts.
  • Lead annual and quarterly contract negotiations with key suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and service levels.
  • Identify and onboard new vendors to improve cost, quality, or lead times
  • Work closely with Warehouse Operations, Inventory Control, Finance, and Logistics teams.
  • Partner with Finance on PO approvals, payment terms, and accruals.
  • Manage and develop RFI, RFQs, BIDS
  • Create a pool of vendors for different elements, assets, 3PLs, regular services, to maximize cost and leverage for negotiations
  • Have good communication with ops team and other departments to set up new options and explain clearly the scope of each new provider

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a university or equivalency certificate
  • 6+ year experience in procurement, and 2 year experience in warehouse procurement
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Chinese Speaking is a plus
  • Data analysis skills using Excel (power pivot, advanced formulas)
