Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Hair Braider to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling and a strong understanding of various braiding techniques. As a Hair Braider, you will provide exceptional service to clients, ensuring they leave feeling confident and satisfied with their new look. Your role will also involve maintaining a clean and organized workspace while contributing to the overall positive atmosphere of our salon.
Duties
Perform a variety of hair braiding styles, including but not limited to box braids, cornrows, and twists.
Consult with clients to understand their desired styles and provide professional recommendations.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations.
Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and managing client inquiries.
Promote additional services such as eyelash extensions and nail care through effective upselling techniques.
Utilize MINDBODY software for appointment management and client records.
Collaborate with team members to ensure an enjoyable experience for all clients.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and braiding techniques.
Experience
Previous experience in hair braiding or hairstyling is preferred.
Familiarity with retail math to assist in inventory management and product sales is a plus.
Experience with straight razor techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
Knowledge of store management practices is advantageous for maintaining salon operations.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality service.
