Wholesale Sales Manager – Women’s Fashion
Location: Lenexa, Kansas
Work arrangement: Full-time, in office
Travel: Approximately eight trade shows per year, including occasional evenings and weekends
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, outgoing Wholesale Sales Manager to lead our wholesale sales efforts and help grow our presence in the women’s fashion and gift markets. This individual will manage relationships with retail accounts, independent sales representatives, and rep groups across the United States.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines strong relationship-building skills with sales analysis, organization, and consistent follow-through. The Wholesale Sales Manager will serve as a primary representative of our brand, oversee trade show and showroom planning, evaluate account and representative performance, and identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and grow wholesale revenue.
This position is based in our Lenexa, Kansas office and is not a hybrid or remote role.
The Ideal Candidate
You are relationship-oriented, organized, and comfortable serving as the face of a brand. You enjoy working with retailers and sales representatives, but you are equally comfortable reviewing reports, spotting fashion trends, and holding people accountable for results. You communicate clearly, anticipate what needs to happen next, and can bring together sales, design, product-development, and operations teams to deliver a strong wholesale experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Wholesale Sales and Account Management
- Oversee the day-to-day wholesale sales process and support the wholesale sales team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail accounts, independent representatives, and rep-group leaders.
- Monitor account activity and identify opportunities to increase reorders and strengthen customer relationships.
- Track accounts, gather feedback, and develop strategies to grow.
- Maintain seasonal communication with house accounts, including sharing catalogs, best sellers, and product updates.
- Help resolve questions and service issues from retailers and sales representatives.
Manage and Support Sales Representatives
- Serve as a primary point of contact and brand representative for independent sales reps and rep groups.
- Review individual and rep-group sales reports.
- Analyze year-over-year performance and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Conduct seasonal product-training sessions before major trade shows.
- Establish clear expectations, encourage accountability, and help representatives improve results.
Coordinate Trade Shows and Showrooms
- Plan and coordinate the company’s participation in wholesale trade shows and markets.
- Attend approximately 8-10 shows annually, sharing travel responsibilities with members of the sales and product-development teams.
- Partner with rep-group leaders on showroom setup, merchandising, and display needs.
- Coordinate with the design, visual, product-development, and sales teams to ensure samples and presentation materials arrive on time.
- Work with trade show organizers to meet deadlines, and secure strong placement.
- Support show appointments, buyer engagement, order follow-up, and post-show communication.
Support Wholesale Marketing
- Partner with the sales coordinator and marketing/design team to develop wholesale emails.
- Plan communications featuring new products, best sellers, market reminders, launches, and other relevant updates.
- Coordinate advertising and visual assets for trade shows, temporary booths, and showrooms.
Analyze Performance
- Use sales data to evaluate representative, rep-group, and account performance.
- Identify sales trends, growth opportunities, underperforming territories, and accounts requiring follow-up.
- Share relevant customer and market feedback with leadership and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Passion for fashion and a sense of current fashion trends.
- Experience in wholesale sales, account management, or sales leadership; experience with gift, apparel, accessories, or consumer products is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn sales reports into practical recommendations.
- Experience planning or participating in wholesale trade shows, showrooms, or markets.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple deadlines, teams, and events.
- A proactive, dependable approach and comfort working with limited supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service.
- Experience with wholesale ordering platforms (Joor, Markettime, Faire, etc.) and NetSuite or a similar ERP or sales-reporting platform is preferred.
- Ability to travel approximately eight times per year and work occasional evenings or weekends during trade show periods.
- Ability to work full-time from our Lenexa, Kansas office.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
