Women’s Apparel Technical Designer Jobs in Vernon at Styles on Demand
We are a contemporary brand seeking a full-time Technical Designer to join our growing team. Must have 2-3 years of technical design experience in the apparel industry.
The ideal candidate must be a great communicator, highly organized with a keen eye for detail, and be able to work in fast-paced team environment shifiting priorities, as needed.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct and supervise all fittings to ensure consistency of fit, measurements, and quality.
- Work closely with the Production Manager to issue fit comments to overseas vendors.
- Review grading specs, provide technical sketching, tech packs, etc. as needed to ensure timely fit approvals are received from vendors.
- Establish block patterns / spec and grading stardards to maintain brand integrity and size/fit consistency.
- Lead and/or participate in design/sales meetings with key retail partners.
- Miscellaneous design tasks, as needed.
Strong knowledge of fabric, garment construction, pattern making, and apparel manufacturing required.
