Role Description The Account Executive role at HB Connections Inc. is a full-time hybrid position based in New York, NY, with flexibility for some work from home. The Account Executive will manage and grow relationships with key retail and brand partners, acting as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts. Day-to-day responsibilities include presenting seasonal collections, supporting line reviews, and coordinating with internal design, production, and sourcing teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. The person in this role will monitor sales performance, track order activity, and provide regular reporting and insights to both clients and internal stakeholders. Additional duties include identifying new business opportunities, assisting with pricing and margin discussions, and ensuring that client expectations are met with a high level of professionalism and service.
Qualifications
- Experience in account management, sales, or client services, ideally within fashion, accessories, or consumer products.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (design, production, sourcing, logistics, and finance) in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, including attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
- Comfort with data analysis and reporting, including basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar tools for tracking sales, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of the fashion retail landscape and an understanding of seasonal calendars, product assortments, and merchandising principles.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a hybrid on-site/remote team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; ability to work on-site in New York, NY on a hybrid schedule.
