This role supports Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead to deliver a seamless guest experience while you learn and prepare for your next career step. The Assistant Colorist is responsible for consultations, hair care, shampooing, conditioning, blowouts, and supporting various services while learning color theory and application. This position offers a pathway to become a Licensed Colorist within 3-9 months. It reports to the Manager and can be full or part time, with availability during peak hours.
Compensation ranges from $18 to $46 per hour, including base pay, commissions, tips, and bonuses, depending on performance and tenure.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent guest service aligned with our core values of Love, Joy, Trust, Courage, and Responsibility.
Assist with finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, treatments, and product applications.
Help achieve sales goals through retail, services, memberships, and subscriptions.
Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and security standards.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Contribute to revenue growth by promoting additional services and memberships.
Engage in ongoing training to master color theory and application skills for career advancement.
Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, twisting, and communicating with guests. Qualifications include an active cosmetology license and customer service or retail experience, with salon experience preferred. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
