Position:Boutique Assistant Manager

Location:Sebastopol, CA

About Us:We are a small, independently owned home goods boutique located in the heart of Sebastopol. Our boutique offers a curated selection of high-quality home decor, furnishings, and accessories to elevate every space. We take pride in providing exceptional customer service and creating an inviting shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

Drive sales growth, visibility, and profitability of the boutique

Develop and implement strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones

Curate and merchandise products to create visually appealing displays

Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with customers

Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and restocking merchandise

Oversee day-to-day operations of the boutique, including opening and closing procedures

Train and mentor staff to ensure they provide outstanding service and meet sales targets

Maintain a clean and organized store environment

Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and reporting

Qualifications:

Previous experience (3+ years) in retail management, preferably in the home goods or interior design industry

Proven track record of increasing sales, visibility, and profit

Passion for interior design and styling

self-starter and willing to take initiative with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Friendly, energetic, and outgoing personality

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to connect with people and build rapport with customers

Ability to move and lift to 25 pounds.

Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Dream of potentially owning their own shop in the future

Compensation + Benefits:

$18 – $25 / hour
