Job Title: Associate Merchandiser Handbags and Accessories
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Associate Merchandiser to join our team specializing in the acquisition of pre-owned luxury handbags and accessories.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for luxury fashion, a keen eye for details, and an understanding of market trends. As an Associate Merchandiser, you will be responsible for identifying and purchasing pre-owned luxury handbags and accessories from sources to build our inventory.
Responsibilities:
1. Authentication and Appraisal: o Determine fair market values based on market trends and historical sales data. o Conduct thorough authenticity assessments to ensure all items meet brand standards. o Evaluate the condition, rarity, and desirability of each item.
2. Inventory Management: o Organize and categorize inventory efficiently. o Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for restocking or price adjustments.
3. Market Research: o Stay up-to-date with fashion trends, brands, and pricing. o Analyze market demand and competitive landscape to make informed buying decisions.
4. Sourcing and Acquisition: o Establish and maintain relationships with sellers and vendors. o Identify potential sources of used luxury handbags and accessories, including individuals, consignment stores, auctions, and online platforms. o Negotiate prices and terms for purchasing items.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in market research.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Sales and customer service experience
- Familiarity and appreciation of luxury fashion brands a plus
Education:
An associate degree in fashion, business, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
