Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Barber/Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in barbering and hair styling techniques, with the ability to provide exceptional service to our diverse clientele. This role requires excellent communication skills, creativity, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitized workspace.
Duties
Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling for both men and women.
Utilize straight razor techniques for precise grooming and styling.
Provide nail care services as needed, ensuring client satisfaction.
Apply hair extensions using various methods to enhance client hairstyles.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations.
Mentor junior stylists or apprentices, sharing knowledge and skills to foster their growth in the industry.
Engage with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing personalized recommendations.
Manage retail sales by promoting products that complement the services provided.
Keep abreast of current trends in hair styling and barbering to offer clients the latest styles.
Qualifications
Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state regulations.
Proven experience in barbering, hair styling, or a related field is preferred.
Strong skills in nail care, straight razor techniques, and hair extensions application are highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Knowledge of retail math to assist in managing product sales effectively.
A passion for mentoring others and sharing expertise within the team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
