This job opening is for the position in a DTC brand LAVAYA incubated at the advertising agency Brandslane.
Introduction
Lavaya is a women's occasion-wear label — slip dresses, corsets, co-ord sets, and pieces built for nights that matter — designed for women in their mid-20s in Indian metros. We're a small team incubating the brand in-house and currently rebuilding what Lavaya looks and sounds like from the ground up. The strategy, palette, voice, and photography direction are locked. The next chapter is the work itself: shipping content, week over week, that earns its place in our customer's feed.
Role Description:
We're hiring a Content & Social Media Lead to own how Lavaya shows up across every customer-facing surface — Instagram, the website, email, creators, and PR. This is a hands-on role responsible for translating our locked brand system into a consistent, high-quality stream of content, week over week.
The right person has 2–3 years of experience at a D2C apparel or lifestyle brand, can plan and ship a content calendar independently, brief and run shoots, manage creator partnerships end-to-end, and write copy in an editorial register. They have strong aesthetic instinct, are fluent on Instagram at a craft level (Reels, carousels, stories), and can step in on production work — basic editing, light styling, on-set art direction — when freelancers aren't around.
This role reports directly to the founder, with freelance photographer, stylist, designer, and editor support available. The Content Lead briefs them, owns the output, and is accountable for brand consistency across every touchpoint.
What you'll own:
- Content calendar across Instagram, website, and email – planned, briefed, and shipped on cadence.
- Shoot direction — moodboards, shot lists, on-set decisions, working with our freelance photographer and stylist; stepping in on light shoots when needed.
- Content and Creative Shoot for new collections and product launches — helping shape the visual story before the first shot is taken.
- Creator and influencer partnerships — sourcing, briefing, product seeding, follow-through, and pulling UGC and ad-ready content from the relationships.
- Copy across product pages, captions, campaign launches, and emails — in the editorial voice we've defined for Lavaya.
- Brand consistency — making sure every customer touchpoint reads as the same brand.
- Light PR — press outreach, sending product to editors, founder positioning support. The smallest part of the role, but a real one.
What you'll need to bring:
- 2–3 years of content, social, or brand experience — ideally at a D2C apparel, fashion, or lifestyle brand. — Strong aesthetic instinct. You can name brands you admire and articulate, with specifics, why their work lands.
- Comfortable on shoot sets — briefing photographers, art-directing styling, making real-time calls when something isn't working.
- Native Instagram fluency at a craft level — Reels, carousels, stories — not just a content calendar manager.
- Copywriting in an editorial register — warm, restrained, never over-emoji'd or gushing.
- Working comfort with Capcut, Lightroom, and basic Photoshop or Canva — enough to step in when freelancers aren't around.
- Based in or willing to be in Noida three days a week, in studio.
