Department Head-Clothing/Footwear-Full-Time with Benefits
Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor on Duty
Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide the best customer service and maximize sales through efficient execution of Company procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Help customers with special order requests and locate merchandise as well as inform them of product knowledge that may be helpful. Greet customers within ten feet.
Verify proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise in multiple departments.
Learn and retain basic knowledge of Farm & Home’s web-based Intranet and employee site, The Outfitter.
Remove damaged merchandise from the floor as needed and review and correct outages and overstocks to supply proper inventory levels.
Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads and sale signage.
Identify and display new items at designated locations with Management approval.
Demonstrate strong merchandising presentation skills for in-aisles, end caps, and displays.
Ensure a safe and clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures using regular safety checks.
Attending store and job-related meetings along with reviewing the F&H Weekly Update that is distributed to each store every Monday.
Professionally communicate with Customers, Management, and all store employees.
Follow all applicable Company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
Assist with price changes, markdowns, & labeling of merchandise.
Operates cash registers and assists with customer carry outs.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, i.e., evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Weightlifting capability up to and including 80 lbs.
Maintain and control the organized stockroom area.
Complete the required on-line Job Training.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completing special projects directed by management and additional responsibilities that may be assigned throughout the store at any given time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Minimum Age is 18 years old.
Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
Six months of previous retail experience is preferred.
Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members who want to grow.
