Role Description
The Department Manager job is a full-time, on-site role based in Pondicherry, responsible for overseeing daily department operations, floor operations and store operations. This role includes supervising sales associates, setting sales targets, monitoring performance, and maintaining high standards of customer service and visual merchandising.
Responsibilities
· Manage day-to-day department operations
· Supervise and motivate staff to achieve sales targets
· Maintain appropriate inventory levels and coordinate for stock replenishment
· Oversee visual merchandising, and product displays
· Conduct regular inventory counts and minimize shrinkage
· Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures
· Hire and train team members
· Analyze sales reports and performance metrics
· Implement strategies to increase sales
Skills
· Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service.
· Effective Communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and management.
· Experience in Department Management and Operations Management,
· Previous experience in retail or fashion/accessories sales, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
Years of experience: 3 – 5 years of experience
Educational Qualification
· Relevant degree in business management or retail management
