Reporting into the Head of Design we are looking for a Design Assistant to contribute to the commercial objectives of the Brand through the design of product that reflect the Brand DNA in support of designers.
Key responsibilities include;
Develop category range in line with brief from Head of Design;
Assist Head of Design on establishing seasonal colour board;
Work with product developers in sourcing and/or develop relevant fabrics, trims and treatments for each season – ensuring sourced items meet design and commercial/cost briefs
Assist in design and development of styles as required;
Work with the Designers to produce detailed tech packs to be sent to suppliers including sketches, photographs, fabrics, trims, artwork, and make and measurement information
Assist in print development – recolour, rescale, modifications as required
Design on-brand simple print artwork as required
Support Head of Design in preparation of material for design meetings and Develop category range in line with brief from Head of Design;
Work collaboratively with other designers, graphic artists, product development, production and pattern making teams;
Follow up to ensure 1st sample schedule is up to date
Liaise with suppliers to ensure 1st samples are accurate and achieve deadlines
Assist in approval of development submissions and send all relevant information to buying and suppliers
Diligent and timely Approvals under the guidance of Designers
Creating & colouring CADS using photoshop/illustrator.
Updating sketches after fits/sign off meetings with relevant info.
Designing/creating trim artwork and labelling.
Assist in fit sessions, update tech packs accordingly, note changes and update involved parties e.g Garment Techs, Production etc;
Any ad-hoc tasks in line with brief from Head of Design

You Will Have
Bachelors degree or appropriate qualification in fashion design
Between 1-2 years experience in a similar role would be ideal
Prior experience in a similar role, or internship experience in fashion design business
Tech savvy
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photshop, InDesign
Able to create CADs and conduct simple print design and manipulation
A genuine interest in fashion and design, with an eye for trends
Demonstrates an understanding and design handwriting aligned to sass & bide style;
You are an approachable, collaborative, action orientated and a customer focused individual
Be proficient in Microsoft Office word, Excel and PowerPoint
