ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Design & Production Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the design and production team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the development and production process. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the fashion industry. You will assist with various tasks to help bring beautiful designs to life.
Collaborate with the design team to bring creative concepts to life through product development.
Assist in sourcing and selecting materials, trims, and finishes for new collections.
Coordinate and communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and samples.
Support the production team in overseeing the manufacturing process from concept to final product.
Work closely with manufacturers to monitor production schedules, quality control, and adherence to brand standards.
Assist in resolving any production-related issues and ensure products meet specified quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of product specifications, sample approvals, and production timelines.
Liaise with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and merchandising, to ensure a seamless workflow.
Communicate effectively with international suppliers.
Act as a bridge between design and production teams, conveying information accurately and promptly.
Helping to prepare design boards for sketch reviews and meetings. Organizing and creating boards with fit photos, design sketches and inspiration.
Imagery, color trend and design research.
Maintaining and organizing archives, maintaining workspaces.
Assist in creating and tech packs, BOMs and sketching and other necessary documentation needed for successful production.
Participate in fittings and stylings. Helping to dress models, take fit notes and fit photos if needed.
Spearhead sample trafficking
Assistance with note taking during sketch reviews, creative meetings, fittings and styles pass offs.
