Position Summary
Our client welcomes independent US brands and sellers to list, promote, and manage everything seamlessly within a fully integrated e-commerce platform. Product categories include fashion, beauty, homeware, even electronics. Qualified US sellers receive limited time incentives to fuel their growth.
This role as a Director for US Marketplace will take charge of local merchant recruitment, operations, incubation, and client success, as well as oversee significant sales and user experience metrics. We are seeking a seasoned professional with a proven track record in e-commerce platform team management.
Job Responsibilities
· Lead the US-based marketplace team, establishing and maintaining a thriving local marketplace
· Recruit top-tier local merchants and develop strategies to foster their growth and success on our client’s Marketplace site
· Implement effective incubation programs to nurture new merchants
· Monitor and improve user experience metrics, implementing initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
· Partner with in-house marketing leaders to digitally market new products and content to create marketplace awareness
· Create and manage forecasts and budgets for the department
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing or related field is preferred
· 8+ years of relevant experience within e-commerce marketplaces in a corporate environment
· 5+ years of leadership experience in leading, mentoring, and scaling high-performing teams in a dynamic sales environment
· Proficiency in data analysis with strong Excel skills and adept project management capabilities
