Job Description:
Shay Kawaii, a women’s fashion brand based in Downtown Miami, is looking for an experienced seamstress/tailor to join our team immediately. We create a variety of clothing ranging from dresses and skirts to stretch garments, and we’re looking for someone with strong technical sewing skills who can work efficiently in a hands-on studio environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a range of materials including stretch fabrics, spandex, cotton, denim, and specialty fabrics
- Sew a variety of garments including dresses, bikinis, pants, mini shorts, patches, appliqués, and zippers
- Cut fabric accurately from provided patterns
- Sew stretchy/knit fabrics with precision
- Maintain consistent quality and reliability to meet production needs
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience on industrial sewing machines
- Experience with both Straight Stitch industrial machine and Merrow / Serger industrial machine
- Ability to sew garments from start to finish, not just individual steps
- Reliable and punctual
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
