We are seeking a skilled and passionate Experienced Tailor specializing in custom suits and alterations to join our dynamic fashion retail team. Duties
- Measure clients accurately to determine tailoring needs and ensure precise fit adjustments
- Alter and customize suits, dresses, trousers, shirts, and other garments with speed and precision
- Operate sewing machines efficiently, including industrial and hand-sewing techniques
- Construct garments from scratch based on customer specifications and design requests
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their preferences and provide expert advice on fit and style
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace with well-maintained tools and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines while upholding quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in garment construction, alterations, or tailoring within a fashion retail setting
- Strong sewing skills with proficiency in operating various sewing machines
- Knowledge of garment fitting, fabric types, and sewing techniques
- Ability to interpret patterns, measurements, and customer instructions accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for taking measurements and calculating adjustments
- Familiarity with fashion retail operations and customer interaction is a plus
