About the Program

Fashion Forward: Digital Design Lab introduces students to the exciting world of fashion, design, and digital creativity. Students will explore the fashion design process while learning how to develop ideas, create digital designs, experiment with patterns and colors, and bring their creative concepts to life.

We are looking for enthusiastic teachers who can create a fun, creative, and supportive environment where students can explore fashion and develop their design skills.

  • Positive Role Models – Encourage creativity, collaboration, experimentation, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or assist with structured digital fashion design classes using provided lesson plans.
  • Introduce students to age-appropriate fashion and digital design concepts.
  • Facilitate hands-on design projects, creative challenges, and digital activities.
  • Support students as they develop their own fashion and design ideas.
  • Encourage creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and creative expression.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized classroom environment.
  • Take attendance and ensure safe student dismissal.
  • Set up and clean up classroom materials and technology.
  • Communicate with school staff and VAC directors as needed.
  • Represent VAC Enrichment with professionalism, enthusiasm, and positivity.

Requirements

  • Thursday afternoon availability from 3:15–4:05 PM
  • Experience or strong interest in fashion, art, design, digital design, or a related creative field
  • Experience working with children or students
  • Reliable transportation
  • Clear background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience teaching art, fashion, design, technology, or STEAM programs
  • Experience with digital design or creative technology
  • Fashion design, graphic design, sewing, textiles, or art experience
  • Teaching, tutoring, coaching, or childcare experience
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students
  • Experience working with neurodiverse students
  • CPR/First Aid certification

Job Details

Type: Part-Time / Contract

Compensation

  • Lead Teacher: $60 per class
  • Assistant Teacher: $36 per class

Payment is per class.
