About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Fashion Design & Production Intern to support the creation of both upcycled and original garments. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainable fashion, craftsmanship, and the full lifecycle of garment production. You will work closely with the creative and operations team to help bring concepts from initial design to finished piece in a small-batch production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development
- Support pattern cutting and modifications
- Participate in fabric selection and preparation
Production Support
- Cut fabrics accurately according to patterns
- Assist with garment construction through basic sewing tasks
- Support upcycling processes and material repurposing
- Help prepare samples and production-ready pieces
Finishing & Detailing
- Attach buttons, zippers, and other garment hardware
- Assist with hemming, pressing, and final quality checks
- Ensure garments meet brand quality standards before completion
Collaboration & Operations
- Work closely with the creative and operations teams to execute production timelines
- Maintain an organized workspace and support studio efficiency
- Contribute to sustainable, small-batch production workflows
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, or a related field
- Basic sewing and garment construction skills
- Familiarity with pattern cutting and fabric handling
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Interest in sustainable fashion and upcycling
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced creative environment
