FIELD RETAIL MERCHANDISE COORDINATOR –POSITION SUMMARY: Glll Apparel Group, Ltd.
Has an exciting opportunity for a talented Merchandise Coordinator to join our team. The
Merchandise Coordinator will handle multiple clothing lines at Department stores in
New York city and surrounding Metro Areas
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·To monitor and visit Department stores and report to Corporate Office the current
condition of the store including but not limited to: sales performance, brand
positioning, stock levels, visual merchandise displays, store traffic, happenings
with associates and upcoming management store visits and events.
· While in stores: Set fixtures to represent the clothing lines presentation
standards, partner with store teams to secure prime positioning, review sales
with managers and develop a plan of action when needed, make certain that the
floor is fully stocked by moving pieces from stock room onto selling floor.
· Analyze weekly sales reports and stock levels from this year (TY) to last year
(LY) and plan.
· Prepare store surveys including “before” and “after” pictures, sales and stock
analysis, descriptions of visual presentations, customer call-outs and any other
comments that may be important for the corporate sales team to know.
. Responsible for backstock merchandise
· Partner with Visual Merchandising department store team for mannequin presentations, signage and additional exposures.
· Help prepare floor and participate in all corporate walk throughs and store events
to help sell product and more importantly to show our support.
· Conduct product knowledge seminars for sales associates and managers as
needed. Help announce, create and motivate selling contests to promote
business.
· Maintain communication between Store staff, VP of Product development and
Corporate team.
· Assist team with any other projects on an as needed basis.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
· BS College Degree (preferably Fashion Merchandising).
· 2 years of department store merchandising experience a must
· General understanding of the department store business and how to analyze the
business with “retail math” (i.e., sell through, on-hands, inventory, and margin).
· Excellent customer service, strong verbal and written communication, highly
organized, to successfully work in a team environment, self-motivated and strong
time management skills.
· Proficient computer skills, word, excel, and must have access to a camera and own
Transportation and a valid driver’s license
